  • Jane McIvor

    Sector Connect

    Director

    Jane has over 23 years experience in the community services field, working across Government and non-Government organisations both here in Australia and in the UK. Jane's has extensive experience working on the ground in community development, case management, emergency / crisis relief, employment services, teaching, facilitation and project management. In more recent years Jane has moved into policy and advocacy work as the Director of the regional peak body for non government services across Macarthur and Wingecarribee. Jane is passionate about social justice and providing a fairer society for all and her work at Sector Connect is a testimony of this commitment. Jane is well known at a regional, state and federal level across the Government and non-Government sector and utilizes these connections to improve service provision and opportunities for the communities of Macarthur and Wingecarribee. Jane believes that the diversity of the sector is its strength and is constantly seeking innovative opportunities to develop stronger service systems to support this. During her 6 years at Sector Connect Jane has raised the profile of the organisation locally and beyond, now proudly managing a 770 network coverage and the organisation has grown 80% in this time, which includes significant work in the Aboriginal field.

    Administration & Training Officer

    Jeanne's background is in the areas of administration and bookkeeping. She coordinates the training program for Sector Connect, disseminates information across the sector and offers general administrative support to other staff and the director. She is currently participating in a Cert IV in Marketing.

    Families NSW Facilitator and Interagency Coordinator

    Karen has recently graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Population Health and Psychology. She currently works part-time as the Families NSW Facilitator for Macarthur and Wingecarribee; and works the rest of the week as a research assistant at Wollongong City Council.

    With much respect I would like to take you on a journey with me how my heart, mind and soul of my traditional Aboriginal principles which has embraced me throughout my life.
    My name is Leo Dynevor. I am a descendant of the Kullilla Aboriginal people of South - West Queensland. I was born on Wakka Wakka land and grew up on Cherbourg Aboriginal community.
    My Aboriginality gives me solely my identity; to have this stored upon me from both my parents enables me to strive to become whatever I want to become. I get great spirituality, leadership, respect, determination and fulfilment knowing of my cultural background.
    The love of the Dreamtime, Our Laws, Our Stories, Our Heritage, Our past, and Our History, a life so genuine and unique fulfils my very essence of our Aboriginal culture.
    My journey has given me the strength to adapt and survive in a society foreign to that of my humble beginnings.
    My life experience and the teachings and knowledge of my ancestors enable me to show determination, desire and a great willingness to highlight and project the life profile of Aboriginal people.
    My central connectedness motivates me as the Team Leader of Muru Nanga Mai to create, adapt and accept the new opportunities for Aboriginal communities to once again stabilise in an ever changing society.
    The dream to be successful comes through hard work and vision to lead the next generation of strong, proud, and spirited Aboriginal people into the future.

  • Stephanie Cusack

    Finance Officer

    Stephanie has worked as a Chartered Accountant in public practice for 16 years. Stephanie is a qualified Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has completed a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting. She has primarily worked in public practice, specialising in business services, taxation, consulting and audit of small to medium businesses. She has also worked as the financial controller in a wholesale business which has served to round out her experience in a very practical way.
    Stephanie has worked with a wide variety of businesses including manufacturing, wholesale and retail services and is now very excited to be involved in the not-for-profit sector. She specialises in problem solving and assisting in the development of systems that will ensure the integrity and usefulness of financial information.
    Stephanie pursues all her interests with energy, passion and a positive attitude. She believes that good accounting practices producing reliable and timely financial reports is integral to a successful business. She thrives on working with people in an organisation to help them achieve this in the most efficient and effective way possible.
