SECTOR CONNECT & BRIEF THERAPY SOLUTIONS

Innovative Training Packages for People Working with Children, Families & Young People

Sector Connect has been working in partnership with Dr. Steven Walker from Brief Therapy Solutions over a number of years to develop innovative training packages that respond to workers' and clients' needs.

The training packages focus on working with children, families and young people and provide a unique training experience drawn from current research and best practice principles. Children's social and emotional development and families experiencing challenging behaviours are some key issues addressed through these one and two day courses.

Dr. Steven Walker is the founder and Director of Brief Therapy Solutions and is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and an Accredited Social Worker. He completed his undergraduate studies in Youth Work and graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Social Work. Steve completed his Master of Social Work and PhD. at Monash University, Melbourne.

The courses developed as part of this partnership have been designed to be delivered across Australia (please note related travel and accommodation costs may be applicable) and Sector Connect is willing to work with your organisation or your networks if you are interested in running any of these courses in your local region.

Please see below further information on the courses currently available. (Contact Jane McIvor, Director of Sector Connect on 02 4648 5933 or email director@sectorconnect.org.au for further information)
