  • Dr Michael Carr-Gregg Community Event

    We are very excited to announce that CatholicCare Diocese of Wollongong have been able to secure Dr Michael Carr-Gregg Australia’s highest profile child and adolescent psychologist, to speak on topics relevant to families and professionals in our community. A regular on Channel 7’s Sunrise program, he is an accomplished author, co-founder of CanTeen and a member of various associations. This is a great opportunity to hear Dr Michael Carr-Gregg speak. He will be appearing in Campbelltown and Wollongong in June.

    Please find attached a “Save the Date” flyer to print out and display on your noticeboard, and to send to any employees, clients, friends and family who may be interested.

    Aboriginal spirituality has many forms and definitions, they are centred people; they occupy their mind, body and soul with a feeling process of spirituality. Aboriginal spirituality is a connection to all that make up their environment. It is the building of relationships with their surroundings both physical and emotional. If you would like to connect to this and see how the world has changed for Aboriginal people then this workshop is for you. Come along and feel the effect of how Aboriginal people have survived and adapted to modern society. How a life journey is changed on the timeline of life.

  • Roar and Snore with SWS Young Carers Program

    The South West Sydney Young Carers Program is organising 2 fun activities In June for much deserved Young Carers and their families.

    ROAR AND SNORE is a fun over night camp for young carers and their families. The camp is held at Taronga Zoo.

    Do you know of any Young Carers living in the South West Sydney Region who would like to attend? (This includes Bankstown, Fairfield, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly and Wingecarribee).

    First event is held on Friday 22nd OR Saturday 23rd June 2012 for Aboriginal Young Carers and their families. Families can choose one night only!

    The second event is held on Friday 29th or Saturday 30th June 2012 for all Young Carers and their families. Families can choose one night only!

    Please find attached the flyers and registration forms. If you know of any Young Carers that would be interested in attending or services providers that would like to know about the event
