Advance payments for December 2016 and January 2017
The Department of Human Services (DHS) will be issuing advance payments for residential care and home care services on the following dates:
- December 2016 advance will be paid on 2 December 2016
- January 2017 advance will be paid on 23 December 2016.
Note: As funds move between financial institutions they can be delayed by 1 to 3 days before they are received.
Submit the November 2016 claim to DHS as early as possible from 1 December 2016. This will allow for processing time for the January 2017 advance payment.
If you have an urgent matter please phone DHS on 1800 195 206. The phone messages will be checked regularly and urgent messages responded to.
Missing or incorrect information causes delays
If your claim forms have missing or incorrect details, the Department of Human Services will return them for corrections. This can delay processing. Reduce delays and confirm your details before submitting your claim for payment.
