Café Connect Camden Project

Expression of Interest for services and organisations that support older people to participate in Café Connect Camden

Camden Council will host a series of monthly Connection Cafes for older people of all abilities across the Camden Local Government Area for a period of twelve months. The café will be a one stop shop that provides information about health, social and service provision in a variety of formats including one on one conversations with services, access information from technology, large print and easy read resources. In addition to the café a different activity will be delivered to scope interest for further social and affordable activities.

The café is free and will provide a diverse range of services that will offer older people pathways to information to connect with a variety of service providers, have their questions answered or information provided about services, programs and activities in the one location.

Council is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from services and organisations to participate in the Café Connect Camden project. We are looking for services and initiatives that will provide information pathways, links and opportunities that promote inclusion, health and wellbeing that will support older people to remain engaged and active and make connections to beneficial services.

The project was made possible by the Liveable Communities Grant Program, an initiative of the NSW Ageing Strategy 2016-2020 and is part of the NSW Government’s commitment to supporting innovative ideas and approaches that foster liveable communities for older people.

Council is committed to engaging with our local community, business, services and other levels of government to make Camden a better place to age now and into the future.

To download an interactive EOI pdf form please follow the link to Council’s webpage at the form should be submitted by email to: Lisa Grimson, Community Project Officer (Ageing and Disability) or contact 4645 5009 for further information.
